Help Us Find a Replacement for Werrong Beach Vote Now!
Hello, fellow naturists!
As many of you may know, Werrong Beach is officially closed. After recent heavy rains and landslides, the track has become too unstable, with rangers actively blocking access. Sadly, this beautiful clothing-optional beach is no longer safe for public use, and its looking unlikely it will reopen.
But we have an opportunity here! With so many fantastic beaches within Wollongong, were calling on the community to help choose a suitable replacement. We need your help to identify the ideal beach that could be designated as a new clothing-optional site.
Here are some potential candidates:
Northern end of Corrimal Beach
Southern end of Coniston
Sharkies Beach (Coledale Beach)
Little Austi Beach
Northern end of Bulli Beach
Southern end of Windang Beach
Each of these locations offers unique features, from secluded spots to beautiful natural settings, making them worthy contenders for our next clothing-optional beach.
Weve set up a poll where you can vote for the beach you think is best suited for this role. Once we have a clear winner, well start an online petition open to both locals and international signatories. After all, Sydney is a global destination, and having an inclusive, safe beach adds value for visitors worldwide.
Were calling on all naturists, beach lovers, and supporters of personal freedom to join in. Vote, share your thoughts, and help us shape a new space for the community. Together, with enough support, well submit a formal proposal to the council for the selected beach!

RE:Another nude beach lost!

Went to Werrong...well wanted to but the sign to the beach have been removed and two barriers are supposed to stop people going there...the fact is that the whole side of the park where the beach trail is located is unstable...since 2022 heavy rain 2 more landslides have occurred at the beach...but one huge one occurred just at the beginning of the trail...that one is about 40 time bigger than the one at the beach! ...near the beach a whole part of the national park has moved down by 15cm to 40 cm at places indicating and unstable ground. I lived going down to Werrong beach, but after assessing the risk, it is not worth it...rain is not the only issue now...i m no expert but strong wind may also trigger the collapse of the instable area...not something you want to be walking on when it gives way! It is not IF but WHEN it will all collapse! It will then likely expose the remaining hillside to further collapse...so indeed Werrong beach is lost!
The question is are we going to take it and say nothing or are we going yo lobby the council to found another location for a clothing optional beach?
